about us.

Kiki and Em met on a peculiarly unfashionable corner, just days before commencing an even more peculiarly unfashionable legal curriculum.  The two immediately bonded over a shared affection of all things sartorial.  Kiki et Em was born out of this shared affection.  It’s a labor of love, and a long time coming.

Our Mission?  To spotlight personal style, and lend structure and transparency to what exactly goes into it.  In today’s celebrity-encrusted, stylist-saturated culture, personal style seems to have been left by the wayside, or at least not sufficiently celebrated.

And yet, there are still girls (and boys) who always keep us guessing, who stay true to themselves, and in that dedication to their own spirit, cannot be copied.  Whether it’s always wearing red, a bent for men’s tailoring, or a predilection for vintage; personal style is about being authentic. It is our intention to capture the story behind the girl in red, the lady in the three-piece suit, and the woman in the 40s shift.

Personal style need not be rigid, especially for us younger folks who have yet to develop our signature look.  Trends are to be embraced, intelligently and with integrity.  After all, what makes personal style so exciting and so elusive is how it reflects an individual’s response to new sights, sounds, and environments.
